Hi Marjorie,

Thanks.......We owe a lot to people like Virginia Satir and others who helped to uncover such communication patterns.

This was really great an informative. I am taking RCA and one of the questions on the final exam is related to a double bind and there was no where in the text or the hand outs for a definition or an answer and decided to look it up on the net.

fabulous.
thanks

Hi Mike

Have an important project meeting here in the US tomorrow and the tips for preparation with people i have a professional 'click' with are v useful.

Met Barrie and Mike last week and now planning/setting new goals for my 'retirement'. As you know, Mike has been mentoring me for the past couple of years (we get together for formal sessions about twice a year) and that has helped greatly.

On a different note; i am working with a 5 handicap golfer and he wants to contact someone practising sports psychology techniques - possible using hypnotherapy.

Any thoughts?

My goodness.

Everything you post is so useful, so interesting. Always something I want to take the time to think through. And I haven't yet found the chunk of time that will allow me to do that.

I haven't yet counted to see how often you post these, but it seems SO frequent, because every topic is one I want to really concentrate on. So I print each post, fold it, and stick it in my purse for that inevitable doctor's office wait when I'll have time.

My purse is so danged full. And my next doctor's appointment won't be before April 22.

Could you try to tone down the relevance? Maybe be a little less insightful for awhile?

(Okay, so these are good problems!)

Helicoptering is a term often applied to the parents of new college students, and it isn't complimentary. It's interesting to see this reframing of the term.

I really like this approach. Thank you for this post.

Since I am a mid-level administrator rather than CEO level, I have no luxury of being able to disengage a member of the staff, especially since they are all civil service.

Fortunately, I do have my 1/3 star players and more than 1/3 as soul players.

I would love a future post about identifying these different types of players in the hiring process. With civil service employees, it can be a real challenge to interpret the signs in a track record.
